I agree with tech. I just recently purchased a generator and i was considering a duel fuel, gas/propane bi-fuel unit. I found out that a full 20 lb.tank didnt run as long as a 4.4 gallon tank of gas, nor did it produce the power output of gas. I was surprised about that. I got a gas powered 3500 watt continuous unit, and on gas it says it will run about 11 hours at 50 load. Propane was much less. I really wanted the propane cause it seemed cleaner (no spills) and easier to not have to fill the tank, but with every convenience comes a trade off.
